Cheesy Taco Sticks

How to make Cheesy Taco Sticks

Ingredients:

1 lb. 450g ground beef

1 packet of taco seasoning mix or homemade taco seasoning

1 tube Pillsbury Pizza Dough

5 Colby jack and cheddar cheese sticks halved

4 tbsp. 56g butter, melted

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp dried parsley

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Lightly coat a large baking sheet with non-stick spray and set it aside.

In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it up with a wooden spoon until fully browned and crumbled.

Drain any excess fat and return the skillet to the stovetop.

Add the taco seasoning packet (without water) to the beef and stir until the meat is fully coated.

Remove from heat and allow it to cool to room temperature.

Roll out the Pillsbury Pizza Dough until it’s flat.

Cut the dough in half lengthwise, and then make four cuts up and down, creating a total of 10 small rectangles.

Take each rectangle of dough and place about a tablespoon or more of the taco meat in the center.

Top it with a halved cheese stick. Carefully roll up the pizza stick, ensuring that all seams are sealed.

In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley. Brush this mixture on top of the cheesy taco sticks.

Place the sticks on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until they turn golden brown on top.

Serve these scrumptious Cheesy Taco Sticks hot with your favorite taco toppings!

Enjoy the delightful combination of flavors and textures that will leave you craving more.

Notes:

Feel free to customize your Cheesy Taco Sticks by adding your favorite taco toppings, such as salsa, guacamole, or sour cream.

If you prefer a spicier kick, you can add jalapeños or hot sauce to the ground beef mixture.

Experiment with different types of cheese to suit your taste preferences. Monterey Jack or pepper jack would add a delightful twist.

These Cheesy Taco Sticks are best served fresh and hot, but you can store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat them in the oven for a few minutes to regain their crispiness.
