How to make Creamy Chip Beef Over Toast
This is a meal that has been around for many generations! It has been served for breakfast, lunch and dinners. It is actually quite an economical meal that anyone can make.
Ingredients
8 ounces dried beef, you can find sold in jars
2 tbsp butter, unsalted
1 cup milk
2 tbsp flour
½ cup heavy cream
Pepper to taste
Toast, to serve it over
Instructions
Melt the butter in a skillet
Once melted, add the flour and using a whisk whisk until all incorporated
Slowly add the milk, stirring continuously with the whisk
Add in the heavy cream, continue whisking
Add pepper to taste
Bring to a heavy simmer, stirring often to prevent burning
When the sauce is as thick as you want, add in the chopped and chipped dried beef
Reduce heat and continue to stir to heat the beef through
Serve over toast
