How to make Dolly Parton’s Five Layer Dinner

Ingredients:

3 thinly sliced large russet potatoes

1½ chopped green bell peppers

2 sliced fresh tomatoes or a 15-ounce can of diced tomatoes

1 pound browned crumbled lean ground beef

2 sliced large yellow onions

Salt and black pepper to taste

Olive oil as needed

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 13×9-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.

Layer the potatoes in the bottom of the dish and drizzle some oil on top.

Add the ground beef on top of the potato slices, then the onions, tomatoes and bell peppers, also adding salt and black pepper between each layer.

Tightly cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the oven for 2 hours or until the potatoes are tender.
