How to make Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats
Ingredients
4 tbsp butter, unsalted
½ cup peanut butter, creamy style
10 ounces miniature marshmallows
1 tsp vanilla extract
6 cups Rice Krispie Cereal
Frosting:
2 ½ cups Semi sweet Chocolate chips
½ cup peanut butter chips
1 tsp coconut oil or vegetable oil
Instructions
Lightly butter a 9×13 baking dish
In a large pot spoon in the butter and the peanut butter, melt together over low heat, stirring constantly
When the butter and peanut butter are melted and smooth, stir in the miniature marshmallows and stir until they are melted
Turn off the heat and stir in the vanilla quickly
Stir the measured Rice Krispies into the marshmallow mixture and stir until well coated evenly
Gently press the cereal mixture into the prepared pan
Place the chocolate chips and the peanut butter chips into a microwave safe bowl, add the vegetable or coconut oil
Place in the microwave and melt at 30 second intervals, stirring after each cycle
When the chips are melted and smooth, pour over and smooth out over the Rice Krispie bars.
Let set before cutting and enjoying.
