How to make Taco Oven Bake
Ingredients
1 dozen hard shell taco shells
1 ½ ground beef, browned and drained of fat
1 can rotel, undrained
1 medium onion chopped
1 packet pouch or packet of Taco seasoning
2 cups mexican or Fiesta blend cheese, shredded
Toppings:
Shredded lettuce
Diced tomatoes
Diced onions
Salsa
Pico de Gallo
Guacamole
Sour cream
Green olives
Black olives
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400*
Saute the meat and onion together in a skillet until cooked thoroughly and onions have softened
Drain fat from the meat and place meat back into the skillet
Add the taco seasoning and the can of undrained Rotel and stir to mix well
Cook until the liquid is absorbed
Line the shells in a standing position in a 9 x 13 cake pan
Sprinkle a layer of cheese into the bottom of each shell
Place a layer of taco meat over the cheese
Add another layer of cheese on top of the taco meat
Bake for 15 minutes
Remove from oven
Allow the family to top and garnish with their choice of toppings.
