How to make Philly Cheese Steak Cheesy Bread

Ingredients

2-8 ounce Rib-eye steaks, sliced thinly

1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

2 tbsp butter

2 tbsp canola oil

1 green bell pepper sliced thin

1 yellow onion sliced

4 ounces mushrooms, drained

8 ounces provolone cheese

1 loaf French bread, sliced in half lengthwise

¼ cup mayonnaise

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400*

Sprinkle the steak with salt and pepper, (optional)

Heat the oil in a skillet

Add the steak. Make a great sear on side one

Add the Worcestershire Sauce and flip the steak to sear the other side

Remove the steak and set to the side

Add the peppers, onions and mushrooms to the same skillet

Season with salt and pepper if you choose

Cook for two minutes, stirring occasionally

Open the bread and smear each half with half of the mayonnaise

Layer with the provolone cheese slices

Add a layer of steak to each half

Add a layer of peppers, onions and mushrooms to each half

Place the remaining layer of cheese on each half

Place on the middle rack and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until lightly browned

Slice each half into two inch slices and place on a serving plate.

Serve hot
