Chicken Crescent Roll-ups
How to make Chicken Crescent Roll-ups
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked and shredded chicken about 300 grams
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
½ cup chicken broth
1 roll of crescent rolls
1 ½ cups shredded Cheddar cheese about 170 grams
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Line a baking tray with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
In a large bowl, use two forks to shred the cooked chicken breasts.
In another bowl, combine the condensed cream of chicken soup mix with ½ cup of chicken broth, and stir well to create a creamy sauce.
Add the shredded chicken to the soup mixture and mix until well-coated.
Stir in half of the shredded Cheddar cheese, allowing it to melt into the chicken mixture.
Open the can of crescent rolls and lay them out with the wide end facing you.
Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture on the edge of each crescent roll.
Carefully roll the crescent rolls from the wide end to the point, enclosing the chicken mixture.
Gently pinch the dough at the point to ensure it stays together during baking.
Place the prepared crescent rolls on the lined baking tray.
Bake the crescent rolls in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
Once baked, remove the tray from the oven and sprinkle the tops of the roll-ups with the remaining shredded Cheddar cheese.
Slide the tray back into the oven and let it cook for a few more minutes until the cheese is melted and gooey.
Notes:
For a delicious twist, you can add some herbs like parsley, thyme, or rosemary to the chicken mixture for added flavor.
Don’t forget to allow the roll-ups to cool for a few minutes before serving, as the filling will be hot.
