Steak Bites with Garlic Butter
How to make Steak Bites with Garlic Butter
Ingredients
1 ¼ Good quality Steak, (Rib eye, Tenderloin, New York Strip)
1 tbsp Olive Oil
4 cloves garlic, freshly minced
3 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tbsp fresh parsley
Salt and pepper to taste
Mustard Sauce:
¼ cup Old fashioned Mustard
½ cup sour cream
1 clove of garlic, grate this one very fine
1 or 2 tsp. Hot sauce, to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a small bowl combine the sour cream, Old fashioned mustard, finely grated garlic and the salt and pepper. Stir to combine well. Refrigerate until ready to serve
In a large, heavy skillet, pour 1 tbsp Olive Oil and heat over medium high heat
Cube the steak pieces into 1 inch cubes
When oil is hot, add the steak and season with salt and pepper to taste
Sear evenly on all sides of the steak bites, this should be done in batches so there is no overcrowding.
Reduce the heat to low medium, add in the butter and the garlic
Cook for 2 minutes, stirring to coat the steak bites evenly
Place the steak bites on a plate with a toothpick placed in the center of the top of each bite.
Serve with the mustard Sauce made earlier
Garnish with fresh cut parsley
Notes:
When served alongside the roasted or grilled vegetables, the two will make a beautiful presentation.
Your family and guests will be in awe of the look of the food, but more so over the flavor.
