Not So Impossible Cheeseburger Pie
How to make Not So Impossible Cheeseburger Pie
I had originally found this recipe in an old cookbook that I picked up at a thrift store. I love shopping at thrift stores, there are so many great deals and so many items that people do not realize that old kitchen items are worth lots of money. Some can not even be found anymore. When I buy new kitchen tools from a store, they seem to break so quickly.
BUT, if I find the older version of the item at a thrift store I still have that years later. Anyways, back to the reason for this, The impossible pie! There is nothing that is impossible, if you only try. After all, the word itself says I M possible.
Why was this called impossible? To me it seemed very basic. Now that I have revised the recipe to updated standards, (i.e. my lazy ways), this is now the Not so Impossible Pie. Let me tell you, it truly is comforting to sit down after a busy day and sink my teeth into this wonderful tasting food.
When you feel so good after eating a delicious plate of food, it should be called comfort food. This dish does just that. As far as being an impossible dish to make, I guess this recipe proves that wrong once again. I do want to thank the person who came up with this recipe way back when.

Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the purpose of the baking mix in the recipe?

What’s the purpose of allowing the pie to sit for 5 minutes before cutting?
Allowing the pie to rest after baking helps the flavors and juices redistribute, making it easier to cut and serve. It also helps the pie set slightly, which can improve its overall texture.
Can I use a regular pie plate instead of a deep dish one?
Yes, you can use a regular pie plate, but be cautious with the filling quantity to ensure it fits comfortably.
You might want to reduce the amount of filling slightly to prevent overflow during baking.
Is there a way to make this recipe vegetarian?
Absolutely! You can omit the ground beef and replace it with plant-based alternatives like crumbled tofu, tempeh, or lentils.
Make sure to adjust seasonings accordingly.
Can I prepare the pie in advance and reheat it later?
